Blackberries were on sale the other day at Sprouts Market, so we picked up about a kilo. We tossed those in the smoothie yesterday morning along with some blueberries, oranges, bananas, pineapple, and yogurt. It made an absolutely beautiful purple smoothie till I tossed in the kale. Ew! That was a pretty disgusting looking brown mash, but it tasted pretty good all together.
I made pretty much the same thing this morning, but I couldn’t bring myself to add the kale. So, it’s pretty much an all fruit and yogurt breakfast this morning. The other thing we picked up at Sprouts was some finely shredded coconut. I added about 4 tablespoons of that this morning as well. Wow! What a wonderful flavor addition.
So, here’s this morning’s no-veggie recipe.
- ~3/4 cup Fage Greek yogurt
- 2 oranges
- 2 bananas
- ~1/2 cup fresh pineapple
- ~1 cup blueberries and blackberries
- ~4 tbsp finely shredded cocunut
- 1 cup crushed ice
